Create a Loot
Creating a Loot takes a few minutes. Behind the scenes, the factory deploys a dedicated minimal-proxy pool for your campaign and records you as the creator on-chain.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”Make sure you have signed in and connected a wallet. You will pay network gas to deploy and fund the pool, so the wallet you use needs the chain’s gas token.
1. Choose the asset
Section titled “1. Choose the asset”Pick exactly one asset type — a Loot never mixes types:
- Native coin — the chain’s gas token.
- ERC-20 — a stablecoin, governance token, or your project token.
- ERC-721 — specific NFTs, by token ID.
2. Choose the play style
Section titled “2. Choose the play style”- Random — luck-based amounts.
- Equal — everyone gets the same share.
- Custom — you pre-assign exact amounts or token IDs.
See play styles for how each splits the pool.
3. Set the rules
Section titled “3. Set the rules”| Setting | Notes |
|---|---|
| Window | Start and end time. Leave the end at 0 for a Loot that never expires. |
| Seats | How many wallets can claim (maxClaimers). Must be greater than zero. |
| Open contribution | Whether others may add funds during the Pending window. |
| Gates | The conditions to participate — see Gates. The default baseline is one wallet, one claim. |
4. Add the campaign content
Section titled “4. Add the campaign content”Give the Loot a title, description, and cover image. Images are uploaded first, then attached to the Loot — linking the on-chain pool to the campaign page once the pool is confirmed.
5. Deploy and fund
Section titled “5. Deploy and fund”Confirm the transaction to deploy the pool, then fund it while it’s Pending (see funding & contributions). Once funded and the start time passes, the Loot becomes Active and participants can claim.
6. Share
Section titled “6. Share”A Loot is one shareable link. Post it to social — that link is the entire campaign. Participants open it, pass the Gates, and claim.
