Sign In & Wallet
Everything in Gatoll starts with two steps: sign in, and connect a wallet. Both take seconds and require no browser extension.
Sign in with X
Section titled “Sign in with X”Gatoll uses X (Twitter) to sign in. Click Launch App, choose Sign in with X, and authorize Gatoll. There is no new password to create, and your X profile is what makes social Gates like follow work.
Connect a wallet
Section titled “Connect a wallet”Claims are paid to a wallet, so you link one to your account. You have two options.
Use the built-in wallet (recommended for newcomers)
Section titled “Use the built-in wallet (recommended for newcomers)”Gatoll includes a pluginless embedded wallet. If you do not already have a wallet, Gatoll creates one for you in the app — no extension to install, no seed phrase to write down before you can act. It is non-custodial: your key is encrypted and only you can unlock it. See embedded wallet for details and how to back it up.
Bind an external wallet
Section titled “Bind an external wallet”Already use MetaMask, a WalletConnect wallet, or similar? You can bind it instead. Gatoll asks you to sign a short Sign-In with Ethereum (SIWE) message — a signature, not a transaction, so it costs nothing — to prove you control the address.
Why binding matters
Section titled “Why binding matters”The wallet you bind is the address that will receive your claims, and Gatoll only signs a claim voucher for a wallet that belongs to your account. You can bind more than one wallet and choose which one receives a given claim.
